Night trek to Naneghat on Sunday 11th May 2014 with Vibes Outdoors

We are glad to invite you for a night trek to Naneghat on Sunday 11th May 2014.

Info - This sheer cliff is a well know landmark, very clearly visible from Konkan region as you pass on your way from Kalyan towards Malshej. The walls of this pass jut out from the main range and hence command a magnificent view of the great bend in the Sahyadri. This is a pass, which once in history, enjoyed prime importance. The inscriptions, the steps, the rock-cut rest houses, and the cisterns all point out the historic fact that this route was frequently used as far back as the 1st century B.C. The Nane Ghat area and the caves are now very popular due to an easy access from Malshej ghat road

Trek Itinerary :
 

Meeting Point :-Kalyan Bus Depo

10.30hrs pm:Kalyan Bus Depo

01.00 hrs: @Base of Naneghat

01.30 hrs: Start ascending

04.00 hrs: Reach top

04.30 hrs: Rest in caves

07.30 hrs am:Breakfast and tea

08.30 res:Explore the pass

11.00 hrs:Lunch

01.00 hrs:Base

03.00 hrs: Move towards Kalyan

We will be reaching Kalyan around 5 pm.

Here is a list of all the things that we need to carry:

1. A haversack to put in all the things to be carried. So that one has hands free while trekking.

2. A bottle of water (1.5 ltr).

3. Camera (Optional), Avoid wearing Gold and other jewelry.

4. Electoral / Energy powder, 2 Lemon, some snacks & biscuits (optional).

5. Torch with extra batteries.

6. Personal medicines & 2 plastic bags for weight distribution, mosquito’s cream.

7. A good trekking shoes.

8. Bedding, extra pair of cloths.

The charges for the trek are Rs. 500/- per head, which includes travelling from Kalyan to Kalyan ,Breakfast-tea,Lunch and expertise charges.
