Night trek to Aajoba Ashram on Sunday, 26th April 2015 with Vibes Outdoors

Dear Vibers,
We are glad to invite you for Night trek to Aajoba Ashram on Sunday, 
26th April ,2015(Leaving on 25th April,Saturday Afternoon).

Info-
 Near the Ashram, there is a small hut where we can stay. A small water stream provides us with pure water. The way beyond Ashram leads to a rivulet, crossing which we can reach the cave of ‘LUV-KUSH’. To reach this spot we have to ascend the way of waterfall for one and half hour. Above this cave there is a precipice called 'Cradle of Sitamai'. In the cave there are the carved “Padukas” or the footprints of Luv and Kush. This precipice is a real challenge for trekkers.
The ashram is a sacred place and people from all over Maharashtra come here. There are some carved stones near the ashram, on which some carved idols depict some story.

Meeting Point :-Asangaon Railway Station

Catch Train to Asangaon which is living from CST @03.21pm.
Train timings is as follows:

Asangaon-5.27PM

05.30hrs pm: Near ticket counter Asangaon and move towards Base Village by Jeep.
07.30 hrs: @ Dehane(Base Village) and  start the trek.
09.30 hrs: @ Ashram
10.30 hrs: Dinner
11.30 hrs: Night stay in Tents
07.30 hrs am:Breakfast and tea
08.30 res:Explore aajoba fort
10.00 hrs: Start descending
11.30.00 hrs:Base village
12.30 hrs: Move towards Asangaon 
02.00 hrs:Reach Asangaon
We will be reaching Mumbai around 5 pm.

Here is a list of all the things that we need to carry:
1. A haversack to put in all the things to be carried. So that one has hands free while trekking.
2. A bottle of water (1.5 ltr).
3. Camera (Optional), Avoid wearing Gold and other jewelry.
4. Electoral / Energy powder, 2 Lemon, some snacks & biscuits (optional).
5. Torch with extra batteries.
6. Personal medicines & 2 plastic bags for weight distribution, mosquito’s cream.
7. A good trekking shoes.
8. Bedding, extra pair of cloths.

The charges for the trek are Rs. 750/- per head, which includes traveling from Asangaon to Asangaon , Dinner,Breakfat-tea,accomodation  and expertise charges.

Trek to “ Sandhan Valley ”and ascend via Karoli ghat on 28th-29th March2015(Starting on Friday Night).


We at Vibes Outdoors are arranging yet another trek cum exploration to the valley of shadow's, The Sandhan Valley.
   a mesmerizing walk through a valley, formed by the tallest walls of sahyadri..
      a walk to remember, rappells in between and a camping at the lake, below...

Board the second compartment from kasara side of the train from your respective stations so that we can meet in the compartment itself.

Day 1 -
Reach Samrad by Private vehicle

Morning Refreshment at base village
08:00 am – Start Exploration
Lunch Midway
05:30 pm – Reach at base, dinner, campfire & stay

Day 2 -
6 am -- Wake Up
Finish morning refreshments
Start descend towards Dehne
Travel Dehne to Shahapur by local transport
1:30 pm -- Reach Shahapur
 proceed for Asangaon
Reach Mumbai by Local train by 08:00 pm (depending upon the railway mega blocks)

The cost for the trek is  Rs. 1700/-

Tour to Velas Turtle Festival on 14-15th March 2015 with Vibes Outdoors

Dear Vibers, 
   We are glad to invite you for Velas Turtle Festival on 14-15th March,2015


 The places that will be visiting are:  

1. Velas Beach – Turtle Festival visit   2. Bankot Fort  3. Harihareshwar Temple 
Velas Beach : Velas is the birth place of Nana Phadnis, one of the great prominent personalities in Maratha history. Due to the sea-shore Velas is an existing place and it is situated near Bankot Bay. There is an old temple of Shri Bhairi- Rameshwar and in this temple all twelve months water is made available taking the benefit of favorable geographical conditions. A statue of Nana Phadnis  is present outside his house. In Velas Mahalakshmi temple and Nana Phadnis house are the places to visit. Gokulashtami Festival is one of the important festival in Velas. Velas is also one of the popular breeding sites of Olive Ridley, which is an endangered species of turtle. The hatchlings are heading towards the sea from the shore now-a-days.

Bankot Fort: Bankot is a square shaped fort. On the sides of Bankot fort, there is a dry moat (Revni) dug out in the Jambhya stone. Jambhya stone is peculiar type of stone adorning a purple shade and peculiarly it is incapable of storing water as the water invariable percolates through it owing to its much porous nature. The main entrance (Mahadarwaja) of the fort is north-facing with a well sculpted arch and carvings. Watch guards dug out (Devdya) align on both sides of the Mahadarwaja with some pits being dug out in the right Devdi. On the left, there are steps leading towards Nagarkhana while there is an underground storey and a tunnel on the right. A Maruti idol in the centre stands deserted now. On the west, there is a small entrance (Darwaja) leading to a Bastion on the exterior of the fortifications. A deep well (now dry and filled) occupied the centre of this bastion earlier and the adjacent water tanks too are dry and obsolete now. One can leave the Buruj via a small exit that leads to the surrounding moat and a beautiful “Revni” lying nearby.
